Dynamics of life & ministry: You must be strong & firm while being holy & humble

“For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh.” Philippians 3:3.

You must be strong and firm while being holy and humble

In dealing with humans to get the best of God from them, I have observed some turn themselves to “bullies” while some cringe to “wimps”. While God does not want you to be a bully, a proud one looking down on every one & making yourself the king of the jungle in your relationship with people, God also has not created you a wimp, a beggarly creature unable to stand but blown around by every wind like pendulum!

In relating to superiors, contemporaries or those coming behind us, we must not turn to Pharaoh neither must we be the beggarly Lazarus at the rich man’s gate. God resists rude people, but nobody can also fulfil God’s purpose on earth a fearful one whose will is submerged or subjugated by those around him.

Paul told Timothy, a young preacher,” Do not let anyone despise your youth ( your inability or inexperience)…for God has not given us the spirit of fear (You’re not a wimp), but of power (strength of purpose), of love ( holiness & humility) & of a sound mind ( firmness of purpose).” If you can be easily swayed, then you can be easily led astray.

Paul said,” We should not be foolish but understanding what God’s will is.”

There are overpowering bosses, friends & followers that can act as the old prophet that led the young prophet astray to his early death in the book of  Kings. He made him turn back to eat & against God’s word to him. He died uselessly.

I have had people shouting me down from writing as I do now on social media, just because it’s not their line. Nobody is immune to this, but you can be firm in your purpose while holiness & humility are not jettisoned. I met my wife writing on social media, on Facebook to be precise.* Many of them are now doing the same thing they’re shouting me down over. Funny

If you can be easily swayed, then you can be easily led astray.

Pastor David Richman

Many take connecting to people overboard that now they don’t even know who they’re or what God asked them to do in life anymore. Although you should also be careful so your firmness is not Pride. There’s a thin line in-between.

Before you can be of use to anybody, you must know who you’re & be firm in your purpose.

You cannot stop people form looking at you. You cannot stop being discouraged by others also, but you must know what you are for in life and stand very firm in God’s word & your purpose.

Daniel 11:32

“…but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. Or they shall be strong and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32.
